1.I haven't figured out yet if I actually like this song but I LOVE the music video. And the Lyrics are cool too. 2.So I came across this amazing blog while I was trying to plan my meals for next week. Here is what makes it amazing:
3.What Happened When We Gave Our Daughter My Last Name This article is so amazing I can't even. I have always been against taking my future husband's last name. I always thought it was a little strange that I had to change my name and he doesn't. Everyone always says "well what last name will your kids have?" and I always say I don't know. This article so perfectly captured how I feel about this and what I think our society needs to start moving to. I want to one day have a marriage where my husband and I sit down and talk about what last name we want to give our child. People then argue that that divides up your family since not everyone shares a name. This is slightly true I guess, and in an ideal world for me you would both choose a new last name when you get married. It would symbolize both people giving up an old life to create a new one together. I don't think that is in the foreseeable future but this article is a good start. 4.What I Learned at a Nude Beach This article is super awesome. I think that having some kind of experience where you see normal, average, everyday people in the nude is really life changing. Like it was said in the article I think it shows you that no two bodies are alike and there isn't one standard of beauty. I have not had one of these experiences yet (except one time when I was young and went to the Y for a pool party and ended up in the sauna with tons of naked old ladies which wasn't fun as a young kid). I don't know if I'm brave enough for one but maybe some day I'll be confident enough in my own skin to feel comfortable just enjoying some sun in the nude. 5.This Super Kickstarter It allows you to make an action figure of yourself through 3D printing. Not only do you get a sweet action figure of the coolest super hero of all times but they also make you a back story and a comic on the back of the box. This is possibly one of the coolest things I ever heard of and would be the most amazing gift you could ever give a friend. Have an amazing Saturday!
