I am a total Netflix addict. I know what youre thinking "we know, every college kid is" but I am pretty sure I have set record with how much netflix I've watched. {if I made a full list of all the shows and movies I've watched I know you'll wonder how I've done it} So I decided to do a series (bad TV pun) on my favorites on Netflix. I love TV comedies because they're usually only 20 minutes so I don't get glued to my ipad or computer for too long. They also usually don't require you to pay a whole lot of attention to them which is good because I like to put them on for background noise. I always have a TV comedy that I'm currently watching for when I just need to veg out and watch something funny. I suggest all of these because I have watched the entirety of what is on Netflix of these shows (with the exception of SNL). 1. How I Met Your Mother - Makes me wish I lived in NYC with a super fun group of friends like this. Makes me laugh and cry. 2. The Office - If you haven't seen it before the humor is a little more subtle but definitely still there. Another show that makes me laugh and cry. 3. Parks and Recreation - The charters in this show are the best part. They are all so different and I can relate to every one of them on some level. Leslie is my type A personality. Donna and Tom are my diva side. Ron is the side of me that is annoyed by everyone. It's such a perfect show. {first season is slow so just push through it} 4. Malcolm in the Middle - This show is a little older but still so funny! I almost peed myself laughing too many times to count. 5. 30 Rock - I am obsessed with Tina Fey so I freaked out when I saw 30 Rock on Netflix. If you've read her book it makes the show even funnier because she talked about the ups and downs of making it and the inspiration behind it and the actors chosen. 6. Arrested Development - Another show that has a little bit of more subtle humor. It took me almost a whole season to get into it, which is a shame because there are only 3 seasons before Netflix took it over. When Netflix took it over it got a whole new feel to it that I don't like but the first 3 seasons are totally worth watching and cherishing. 7. Raising Hope - This show is adorable and funny. You'll fall in love with the family's quirky traits and the adorable little girl who plays Hope. 8. SNL - I don't think many people know this but Netflixs has every episode {or at least pretty close} that has aired. Like even back to the 70s. 9. Bob's Burgers - Such a funny adult cartoon. I definitely recommend it if you really like Family Guy, it's similar but more clever of humor. And I am currently watching Scrubs and I love it so far! Definitely recommend! Whats your favorite show on Netflix? xoxo Natalie{I would totally love to get more comments so I know what kinds of posts you guys like so I can make sure to do more of them} thanks!!
So, selfies always get a lot of hate and I don't understand why. I think it's great that it's become popular to post pictures you took of yourself because it shows confidence. When you post a selfie it's like saying "hey world I think I look good today." What I like even more is that if it's a silly selfie then it shows that people are confident in being goofy. I saw this quote by Ezra Koenig the other day and I really liked it. "I’m definitely pro-selfie. I think that anybody who’s anti-selfie is really just a hater. Because, truthfully, why shouldn’t people take pictures of themselves? When I’m on Instagram and I see that somebody took a picture of themselves, I’m like, ‘Thank you.’ I don’t need to see a picture of the sky, the trees, plants. There’s only one you. I could Google image search ‘the sky’ and I would probably see beautiful images to knock my socks off. But I can’t Google, you know, ‘What does my friend look like today?’ For you to be able to take a picture of yourself that you feel good enough about to share with the world – I think that’s a great thing." I would defiantly say I am pro-selfie too. xoxo NatalieHappy spring! I know for most people it probably doesn't feel like spring (is it ever going to be warm again) but spring is officially here.
