1. Snapchats that perfectly describe single life2. Gilmore Girls is on Netflix #yassss3. Halloween CostumesHere are some of my ideas for my Halloween costume this year. 4. Russian scientists find an underground lakeThis lake has been preserved under Antarctica and may hold life from pre-ice age time. The conditions of this lake are similar to those on Mars and the scientists believe they will find microbial life there. Valery Lukin, the head of Russia's Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, said ""It's like exploring another planet, except this one is ours." I find this super interesting because I'm a bit of a science nerd and the head scientist is a woman, win win! Do you have any Halloween costume ideas? xoxo NatalieI was really inspired lately by some youtube videos, pinterest posts, and tumbler pics. 1.The inspiration:What I made from this video was the little wooden chalkboard. It was super easy and turned out really cute! My way:I think chalk paint is my new favorite craft supply! And chalkboard markers are super awesome too!! I also found these little cork circles and thought they'd be cute for printing out pictures from Pinterest and Tumblr to display on my wall. I even printed out my Fall bucket list. 2.The inspiration:From this video I made the little polka dotted pumpkin, again super easy and super cute! My way:I love how this pumpkin turned out! I also bought some flowers in Fall colors from Michael's and this little "Happy Halloween" sign from Target to help decorate the top of my shelving unit. 3.The inspiration:This one I changed a decent amount. I did a plain black background to make it more Halloweeny, and I didn't include the sorority in the eyes for the same reason. I also added a ribbon to hang it on which added a cute accent. My way:This is on a pretty big canvas and is hanging on my door. I loved how it turned out and discovered how much I love paint markers, they make it so easy to "paint" think, clean lines. Bonus videoI didn't make anything from this video but I really liked everything she did in it, especially the wreath. Let me know if you make any of these by tweeting/instagramming pictures of your decorations and tagging me.
