So today I did my typical Monday lunch routine. I worked on some homework, waited in a really long Q'doba line, got some veggie tacos, and sat down to enjoy them before running off to class. Today though, I guess it just wasn't in my cards to have a relaxing lunch because one of the most obnoxious guys on the face of the planet sat at the table next to me. He was saying things like "If I had a girlfriend I would expect her to give me blow jobs whenever I want" and "if I had a girlfriend there is no way I would let her go to an event that had other guys at it." He was sitting with a group of girls and told them that he only hung out with them because they are beautiful and don't tell him what to do AND THEY WERE AGREEING AND SUPPORTING EVERY WORD HE SAID! So I thought that I would let this inspire me to write about relationships. What you have to do because you are in a relationship:nothing. What you have to do because your boyfriend or girlfriend tells you to:nothing. People who have the right to tell you what to do:no one. People who have the right to tell you how to think:no one. I just want to remind all of my amazing readers {whether there are 2 of you or 100 of you} that only you are in control of your thoughts and actions. Don't let anyone control you. Don't let anyone guilt trip you into doing what they want. And while I'm ranting...Rape is rape and it is never ok. There is no way to "ask for it" there is no excuse. You have the right to feel comfortable in your body and not worry about what could happen to you based on the way you dress or act. All of this applies to both genders. I am no way trying to call out guys because I know girls who are abusive and controlling too. No one has any right to control anyone based on a relationship status.
