Last Saturday I did the most Fall thing I could have done and went to a Pumpkin patch. It was so fun and definitely got me even more hyped about Fall (if that is even possible). It was my school's Fall break and since that just means we get Friday off it wasn't really worth it for me to drive 6+ hours to go home. Both of my roommates went home though so I took full advantage of having my apartment to myself (blasting music, watching endless rom coms, and leaving a huge crafting mess. I was starting to get cabin fever though by Saturday and decided it would be fun to go to a local pumpkin patch with my little sister! Unfortunately the weather was not so great (it was rainy and cloudy) but it was still a very fun day! We started out by heading to the barn to just stay out of the rain. I just loved hoe they had the inside decorated! It was beautiful. And there was a live band playing, The Band Concord, which is a very folky band that really set the mood for a nice Fall day. Also in the barn was a pleasant surprise... drum roll.... wine tasting! It was a local vineyard that had a tasting of 9 different kinds of wine and it was only $5. Then my sister and I went to find some pumpkins because why else would you go to a pumpkin patch?! Then I told my sister that we might as well do the hay ride since it was included in the price of the ticket. Reluctantly, she agreed to go and much to our surprise the hay ride was to take us to the actual pumpkin patch to get pumpkins. Derp. So since we had already bought pumpkins we just wandered around and tried to find all the weirdo pumpkins (that's what we called the blue, black, and lumpy pumpkins). Overall it was a super fun day spent with my little sister. I am so blessed that she is at school with me and that I am able to spend so much time with her. Now I just have to figure out what to do with my pumpkin! Carve, make a pie, roast the seeds? xoxo Natalieps. Sorry I haven't posted all week. For some reason Chrome was bugging out and wasn't letting me upload photos.
