1.What I Instagrammed vs. What was Really Happening or My Entire Life is a Lie Omg I died laughing at this. This is such an accurate representation of me. It's comforting that I'm not the only one. Also this is what goes through my mind when I'm checking out all my favorite bloggers instas. 2.
3.This article about 50 Shades of Gray Ok, I didn't read this book, neither did the guy who wrote the article so I really think neither of us has the room to talk about it. I knew when I started reading this article that something was going to make me uncomfortable, and I did when it got to reason number four, because you're a feminist. Cue Natalie's curiosity behind reasoning. "If you are a feminist, I can’t possibly understand how a disturbing fantasy about a wealthy man physically dominating a woman could ever be considered acceptable in your circle." Problem #1: "in your circle" ok so you're not a feminist yourself? Problem #2: nothing wrong with being with a wealthy man Problem #3: disturbing fantasy - I have not read the book so I don't know for sure but I think the woman gave consent so don't be calling it a disturbing fantasy. It may be disturbing to you but if it's what she wanted and if she gave consent then I see no problem. Problem #4: His argument seems a little like slut shaming which is the opposite of feminism. I'm not saying I think 50 Shades is great or anything but I don't like when people use feminism as a talking point with out actually knowing what it means. That's all for this week! xoxo Natalie
